PRELUDE — THE SIGNAL

Sound was never enough. We ripped apart the existing identity — beige Helvetica — and rewrote it in motion. The letters roll, fold, distort — as if the festival name itself was alive, breathing, glitching. Welcome to Unsound as a living organism.

ACT I — THE DISTORTION

We treated each poster like distortion turned tangible. Black screens, white type, a red dot bleeding into static. We leaned into Berlin’s brutalist echo — hard edges, shadows, noise bleeding into silence. Typography roams. Photographs fragment. The brand is never stable.

ACT II — THE RITUAL

Every event becomes invocation. JANUARY 10–13 / HEARN GENERATING STATION / unsound.pl / toronto.unsound.com / @unsoundfestival. We let the venue be part of the narrative. The power station hums. The sub-bass pulses in our bones. The logo slides, fractures, reassembles — like an echo you can almost hear.

ACT III — THE TRANSCENDENCE

By the time you scroll through the poster series, the festival is not “shown” — it’s performed. The viewer becomes part of it. You see the logo, but also its ghosts. You feel the distortion before you hear the sound. And you answer the glitch with your presence.
