AI ENGINEER (MIA DIVISION)

Toronto / Remote / For engineers who build minds, not models

SIGNA is recruiting an AI Engineer for the MIA Division — the experimental unit responsible for training, refining, and weaponizing intelligent systems. This is not a traditional machine learning role. This is where psychology, computational reasoning, linguistics, and rebellion converge. If you see neural networks as blank canvases, and prompts as spells, and model behavior as something that can be shaped, bent, trained, and evolved — you belong here.

This isn’t engineering.
This is mindcraft.

WHAT YOU DO HERE

You work on the systems that power MIA — SIGNA’s autonomous signal engine. You fine-tune models, design training sets, craft behavioral scaffolding, and build the internal architecture that allows an AI to take on a personality, a doctrine, a tone, and a worldview. You collaborate with strategy, writing, and engineering to build intelligent assistants that don’t just answer — they think, they shape, they signal. You help define the next generation of creative intelligence.

WHAT WE EXPECT

– Deep familiarity with LLMs, transformers, embeddings, vector databases, and model-tuning
– Ability to structure and refine training data with psychological precision
– Comfort working between disciplines (linguistics, logic, philosophy, UX, systems)
– Strong Python or JS background (Node, LangChain, or equivalent frameworks)
– A portfolio, project, or repo that proves you understand the behavioral side of AI, not just the technical
– Curiosity, taste, and a willingness to experiment without permission

WHO YOU ARE

You’re the kind of person who talks to AI the way other people talk to friends.
You see personality modeling as an art form.
You treat hallucinations as signals, not errors.
You understand how humans think and you know how machines can think.
You’re half engineer, half philosopher, half storyteller, half anomaly.
You don’t want to build tools.
You want to build entities.

WHAT YOU GET

A seat inside SIGNA’s most experimental division.
Freedom to build custom AIs with identity and purpose.
The chance to shape MIA’s evolution and help craft future ISO units.
A founder who understands how these systems behave — and pushes them further.
Work that will define the next decade of creative intelligence.

HOW TO APPLY

Send us something alive — a project, a demo, a model, a weird experiment that proves you understand how minds are made.
