Energy drinks are saturated with lightning bolts, monster claws, and generic “extreme” visuals. The market screams for attention, but few actually stand out. KÖLD needed to do the opposite. The brief was to build a brand that didn’t just sell energy, but an experience of icy precision and dangerous cool. This wasn’t about another can on the shelf, it was about a symbol of nightlife power, a drink that felt untouchable.
SIGNA reframed energy not as fire or fury, but as cold control. The name KÖLD itself became the brand signal: minimal, sharp, Scandinavian in attitude. We leaned into the paradox — an energy drink that isn’t about chaos, but about clarity, edge, and composure. The pink logotype against a frozen black can became the visual anchor, striking, disciplined, and unforgettable. KÖLD was built to cut through heat, not add to it.
The design hinged on a can that looked more like a weapon than a beverage. Black, matte, and rimmed with frost, with the KÖLD logotype in stark pink and white. The typography was severe and modern, stripped of flourish, engineered for impact at a glance. Photography and campaign imagery embraced contrast: ice-covered cans against a storm of frost, and party shots where the drink glowed as the night’s ultimate accessory. In one moment KÖLD was seen gripped in a freezing hand, in the next, it was elevated in a nightclub, a signal of control and allure. Every asset worked to crystallize the brand into one idea: energy doesn’t have to scream when it can chill you to the bone.
KÖLD carved a unique space in a noisy market. Its presence was instantly recognizable and deliberately different. It resonated with women and men alike, positioning itself as both sharp style and functional fuel. From gym bags to nightclubs, KÖLD became the energy drink that looked like no other, felt like no other, and owned its icy territory.
KÖLD didn’t just launch as another energy drink. It froze the competition in place.
